Siteground Web Hosting Review

SiteGround takes the other route, charging a little more but delivering an impressive array of features to users. The company’s low-end shared hosting product has been criticized for being too cheap and cutting corners on support in order to make up some headlines space with higher prices from competitors like GoDaddy or Hostgator who don’t provide as many services at once free when purchasing their packages – Siteground offers this service alongside plenty more besides.

SiteGround offers a range of plans that are more comparable with managed WordPress hosting, including free site migration and custom speed optimizations. They also have automatic updates for you as well. But what really sets them apart is their commitment to customer service, they offer 24/7 support via chat or phone call whenever needed.

With the Startup account, you get 10GB of storage that is unmetered traffic and unlimited subdomain parking. You also have access to WordPress preinstalled on your website without any additional fees or costs. This plan includes SSL security so nobody can seize what’s important for their business success story with these tools at hand – only an awesome user experience ahead. It comes at a price of $6-$7 per month initially, with a renewal of 14.99$

The GrowBig account is perfect for those who want more space, without having to pay an arm and leg! You get 20GB of disk room at only $9.99 per month initially or 24 subsequent payments.

A GrowBig account is a great option if you need more disk space than the free 10GB that WordPress provides. It also includes 20 gigs of storage and supports as many domains can be hosted within those limits, at no additional cost.

You’ll get access to Nginx based SuperCacher for speeding up your website on busy days or when it’s being used by many people simultaneously, and there’s still plenty left over even after all these features are enabled so each user doesn’t see everything happening right away which helps maintain focus while browsing online too (especially since WP slow down significantly during peak hours).

SiteGround offers the top-of-the range GoGeek plan – $14.99 initially and a chunky 39 dollars on renewal, which gets you priority support as well more resources for improved performance with one click Git Repo creation. White label sites allow designers to create their websites under them while giving access through an individual console without seeing Site Ground’s logo or name associated within it All this is possible thanks in part by using White Label Sites.

SiteGround offers a range of hosting plans that cover all your needs, including the free domain and cPanel. With their own tools to manage sites from one console you won’t need any other service providers.

Server

SiteGround is one of the most reliable cloud hosting providers, but their prices can be high for people on a budget. For example; Site Ground’s starting price at $80 per month may seem like an expensive option when you compare it to other companies who offer similar services with monthly fees around half or less than that number depending upon what plan they choose from there menu options.

The company offers powerful products with great features to fit any budget. For instance, the bottom tier cloud hosting plan gets you 3 CPU cores and 6GB RAM for 40 gigs of storage space plus 5 TB bandwidth which qualifies as an awesome VPS service anywhere else.

With a choice of data centers in North America, Europe and Asia you’re sure to find one that meets your needs. (The prices will vary depending on where the hosting facility is located.)

SiteGround offers competitive VPS plans from $5 per month for the cheapest option. However, it is still a low-end system with 1GB of RAM and 30 GB storage space which will not be enough if your website requires heavy traffic or high performance capabilities – in this case you should consider their unmanaged packages starting at around 40$ monthly instead.

SiteGround offers a range of hosting plans with everything from basic web-based features to more advanced options for those who need them. The pricing is straightforward and easy to understand, making this an excellent option if you’re looking in the simplest products or budget prices without sacrificing quality.

Website Building

Clicking SiteGround’s ‘Start New Website’ option gave us prompts to install WordPress, WooCommerce and Weebly SiteBuilder. It also offered a list of around 30 other apps – including Drupal Magento MediaWiki Moodle phpBB PrestaShop SugarCRM Typo3 or Zen Cart- which could be added onto your website if you wanted more features for example shopping carts.

SiteGround’s SG Site Scanner quickly scanned our website for malware and automatically installed WordPress in a little under two minutes. We opted to go with them because they offer excellent customer service, as well.

SiteGround doesn’t just give you a web host and leave it up to your imagination. They provide some handy management tools so that even those without much technical know-how can be an expert online.

SiteGround’s AutoUpdate feature is one of the many reasons why they are considered a leading WordPress hosting company. This innovative tool not only updates your plugins, but also helps you stay up-to date with all major releases by waiting 24 hours before installing an update on sites that have been active for two weeks or more – giving developers time to find any bugs in their code before this change goes live.

With Site Ground having such great customer service policies like these available as well it makes them stand out from competitors who typically do nothing during emergencies when things go wrong because users don’t.

Performance

SiteGround’s marketing spin on performance is true – their data centers offer the best in class, and we were able to test this out when setting up Uptime.com as our monitoring service offered us quick access for two weeks with no downtime.

SiteGround’s 24-hour response time performance was a little disappointing, with more than half their issues coming from one day. The average across all days for this company is still good at 300ms though – not too far off what we see in shared hosting products overall.

The marketing for this product claim that it is “super-fast”, but the test results only reflect basic sThe data doesn’t support the marketing claims, but it is important to note that this only applies for basic shared hosts.

The speeds you might experience on higher plans will depend upon your server type and location as well other factors like bandwidth requirements of website traffic.

Support

SiteGround has been around for a while now, and we can say that the company’s ‘extremely fast’ support from their ‘fast’ team really does live up to expectations.

The number of articles in each section varies, but it’s clear that there is no shortage when looking at the ‘Email Configuration’ alone. We’ve seen some hosts provide less than 43 total for all topics covered by them.

SiteGround’s 24/7 support is a little more difficult to access than most other hosting providers, but it offers live chat and ticket options as well. You can launch the contact window on their account dashboard or accessed directly from within these pages by choosing “General Question” in order for assistance if needed.

The route doesn’t always get you to a Contact form. When we clicked on “Contact Us > Advanced Technical Help” for instance, the site just displayed an ad recommending that I spend $199 per year with Sucuri’s antivirus and firewall service website.
As annoying as this may sound – thank goodness they have other options available.
